1. About RentAKite

RentAKite is a peer-to-peer listing and messaging platform that connects kite gear owners ("Owners") with riders seeking to rent gear ("Renters"). RentAKite operates solely as a platform facilitator and is not a party to any rental agreement between users.

2. What RentAKite Does Not Do

• -- We do not own, inspect, maintain, or insure any gear listed on the platform.
• -- We do not process payments, hold deposits, or manage financial transactions between users.
• -- We do not verify the condition, safety, or suitability of any listed gear.
• -- We do not provide insurance or liability coverage of any kind.
• -- We do not mediate or resolve disputes between users.

3. User Responsibilities

By using RentAKite, you agree to:

• -- Provide accurate information in your profile and listings.
• -- Verify the identity of the other party as needed.
• -- Sign your own rental agreement with the other party.
• -- Follow all local laws, regulations, and safety guidelines at your spot.
• -- Resolve any disputes directly with the other party.
• -- Not use the platform for fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes.

4. Listings

Owners are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including gear condition, specifications, pricing, and availability. RentAKite reserves the right to remove listings that violate these terms or are reported by other users.

5. Rental Agreements

All rental agreements are private contracts between the Owner and Renter. RentAKite provides optional agreement templates as a convenience, but is not responsible for their legal sufficiency or enforceability. Users should seek legal advice for their specific jurisdiction.

6. Assumption of Risk

Kitesurfing and related water sports are inherently dangerous activities. Users assume all risk associated with renting, using, or lending gear through connections made on RentAKite. We strongly recommend appropriate insurance coverage for all participants.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RentAKite and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or financial loss.

8. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are reported for unsafe behavior. Users may delete their accounts at any time.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
